If you believe art has the power to inspire and create positive change, then you are in good company with the folks at ArtBuds.
It was such a lovely surprise when we came across this beautiful online gallery and shop. Based in Australia, ArtBuds offers a really unique collection of limited edition contemporary art created for kids aged 0-12 years. Artists are sourced from around the globe, and the selection is aimed at fostering visual development, creativity and imagination in the youngest of minds.
One thing we love is that it has a real curated feel about it, not overwhelming like art sites can sometimes feel. Some pieces are whimsical and dreamy, others quirky and bizarre, and even if every one isn’t for you – each is overloaded with a level of imagination that can be appreciated by all. The artist Q&As are a lot of fun to read as well.
Anna Kellerman is the founder and “Mama/Director” of ArtBuds. Through her studies, (Bachelor of Art Education, & Masters in Art Therapy) she built upon her love for art and education, and was inspired by the use of art to help children of all ages overcome emotional and behavioural problems.
Anna writes, “With nearly a lifetime of participating in, and observing, the significance of art and creativity in the development of children’s lives, the blossoming of a personal dream is being realized. ArtBuds is the culmination of all my passions rolled into one wonderful venture to create amazing artworks and thoughtfully designed educational products, to nourish and stimulate kids’ visual, creative and imaginative development.”
Hello, dream job! And oh hey, if you buy something special by Jan. 31st, ArtBuds (through a partnership with Paint a Future) will donate 10% to help a young girl in Madagascar achieve her dreams of becoming a lawyer. You can read more about Paint a Future here (what a fantastic charity concept)!
